I was wondering ...
Are you ready for Easter?
Do you have rituals and celebrations that your family love doing each year?
Even though our boys are getting older they still love the Easter Egg hunt I have been doing for them since they were little. I reuse plastic eggs and I place written clues in each one leading to the next clue. They have to work together to solve the riddles and work out the next location. In the last egg is the clue to the location of their Easter goodie bag.
I used to include drawings, petals or leaves as clues when the boys were too little to read! It takes a little planning and I have to go and place them once they are asleep. A camping headlight comes in handy. Unfortunately we didn't get to do it last year, thanks the year that 2020 was. If we visit my parents property at Easter time, the plastic eggs keep the clues dry from dew and safe from wildlife as they won’t take off with them like they would with chocolate eggs!
With teenage skin issues and a serious health focus for our family to support our boys, lots of sugar will be off the menu this year. So apart from new pyjamas and slippers in preparation for winter, I will be making chocolate goodies from scratch this year.
