There are 42 days left of Spring - what is going on with allergies this year?!

Hello

Hope you are well surviving Spring!

Today I want to ask the question: "What is going on with allergies this year?!".

While I don't have the answers, this weeks newsletter is jam-packed with useful suggestions and recipes to help ease the burden of this season's allergies. I have personally made a connection between some of my 'weekend' dietary choices and a flare up of symptoms, and I'm wondering if you have too? I have been strictly grain free, gluten-free and low sugar for months after a skin issue took its toll in July. I have seen improvements in hormone, sleep and my immune system eating this way. Until I got complacent!

Whilst I'm very aware of the foods I'm eating and their consequences, I haven't needed any kind of spring symptom support for several years. In fact I thought I might have "out grown" it! Turns out the seasonal allergies we suffered as youngsters can return as we get older due to an increased amount of exposure to environmental allergens.

This year, I've been suffering with the typical symptoms of a runny nose, sneezing, and the itchy watery eyes only a hay fever suffer could understand. In my day to day life I've noticed a significant increase in the number of people with swollen eyes, handfuls of tissue, and the distinct exhausted shuffle as we drag our feet through daily life. Although I'm happy to note I'm obviously not the only one getting older, I am also aware there are natural alternatives to the quick-fix medications on pharmacy shelves and I want to share with you the immune system support I turn to.

Allow me to introduce you to the dōTERRA Easy Air® range. These products combine Lemon, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Thyme, Melissa, and Cardamom essential oils which are respiratory and immune-supportive oils to assist in refreshing your senses, clear your breathing, combat bacteria and viruses, and support your immune system. They are safe for children (think of it as a 'Vicks' alternative), diluted for sensitive skin if needed and are among dōTERRA's best sellers for respiratory support at any time of the year. I love using the Vapour Stick on the soles of the feet for my youngest child under socks or apply to the chest, avoiding sensitive armpit area.

Once you've got yourself back on track these beautiful diffuser recipes will help you to maintain wellness during the Spring season and keep your allergies under control.

If your symptoms continue and are starting to wear you down please try this little 'pick me up' recipe in your diffuser at home, in your office, or on the go. You'll love it.

An important part of keeping your allergies under control is to limit exposure to allergens.  Keeping a clean home all year round is extremely important and will keep allergens such as dustmites, animal hair, mould and pollen from making you or your family unwell. With winter behind us, spring brings a renewed energy and desire to clean every nook and cranny of our homes. Must be something in the sunshine!

Here are some safe and non-toxic options to use in your Spring cleaning and keep your family away from harmful chemicals:
